Khan Sahib Syed Ahmed Rashid

Khan Sahib Syed Ahmed Rashid, was born at Delhi on the 14th August 1900. Educated at MAO College Aligarh where he held 12 offices as a student and was a University Blue as a Sportsman in Tennis, Hockey, Football and Cricket. Commenced his career from Calcutta Customs. He died on 12th March 1961, corresponding to 25th Ramzan. Buried at P.E.C.H.S graveyard Karachi, Pakistan. Left behind 6 daughters and 1 son Syed Muhammad Haroon Rashid – Lawyer by profession now lives in Hyderabad, Pakistan with his family of 4 sons and 3 daughters.

His two Grand sons Syed Muhammad Mamoon Rashid and Syed Muhammad Ahmed Rashid practice Law at Hyderabad and Karachi – both are Masters in Law (LLM) and are also Hafiz-e-Quran and holders of the Sanad of Shahadatul Aalimya from Jamia-Tus-Saadaat Hyderabad which is affiliated to Wifaq-al- Madaris Al arabia Multan. Hafiz Syed Muhammad Yahya Rashid and Hafiz Syed Muhammad Sadiq Rashid are involved in running the Hifz-e-Quran Section of Jamia-tus-Saadaat founded by their father.
Daughters are also Hafizah and Aalima as well as graduates and are married.
Khan Sahib’s Wife Syeda Ayesha Siddiqua was niece of Syed Sajjad Hyder Yaldaram from the Syed Family of Nehtor, Bijnor. Other Prominent members being Syed Luqman Hyder Chief Accountant State Bank Pakistan, Syed Nisar Hyder of the Indian Civil Service, Syed Jarrar Hyder Judge of the Allahabad High Court 1978-82 of Bharat. Qurrat ul Ain Hyder, Syed Waheed uddin Hyder of the Indian Medical Services.
